Common Questions About Electrolysis and Electrologist Training

Electrolysis is the process of permanent hair removal. Using state-of- the-art technology, a minute amount of energy is gently applied to the base of the hair follicle. This process destroys the hair growth tissue. Therefore, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated.

Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal.

Electrologists are specially trained providers who offer permanent hair removal on all body parts.

Electrologists commonly open their own practices and can also work in day spas, salons, destination spas, dermatology & plastic surgery practices, or educational environments.

We offer a comprehensive 600 clock-hour electrology program (as required for licensure in Illinois). Students can finish the program in as little as 6 months.

Our innovative program allows you to complete the online theory portion at your own pace and hands-on training at our facility.

Our program includes the latest electrolysis advancements alongside time-tested techniques to prepare graduates to enter the electrology industry immediately.

As a licensed electrologist in Illinois, you’ll be required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years in order to renew and maintain your license. These continuing education classes are offered by state and national professional groups and other outlets to help you stay at the industry forefront.
